Examples on energy

I have written earlier about the forms of energy. Today i will provide you with some examples of kinetic energy and potential energy in order  to serve for your better understanding. We already know about energy. Energy is the quantity assigned to any particle, object or system based on its physical state. Kinetic energy and potential energy are two forms of energy and following are examples of these forms of energy.

Examples of  kinetic energy: Any moving object has kinetic energy. If a object does not move, its kinetic energy will be equal to zero. So any moving object can be example of kinetic energy. For your help i am providing the following examples of kinetic energy:

A moving car.
A swinging pendulam.
The moving earth.

Examples of potential energy: The energy possessed by the virtue of the position or configuration of the body is called potential energy. Following are examples of potential energy:

A book placed on the top of the table
A ball of mass placed at a height of 5 m.

The formula to get the amount of potential energy is m*g*h. I have provided you with examples of kinetic and potential energy. Hope you find it interesting and if you do, move on with the explorations of the other forms of energy.
